Seed For The Poor

Harvest is such a joyful time– especially when the harvest is good! This seed had been in the family for generations and was a truly remarkable gift. Champs 2017: Day 3

The final day of Champs is always bitter-sweet as a three day feast comes to and end, but with hearts filled and changed. As always, many nations were represented – Australia, UK, India, USA, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Germany, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, and of course, Zimbabwe. After roof raising praise and hauntingly beautiful worship, the IWH Kanyemba group were introduced by Mashoko. These truly are the poorest of Zimbabwe’s poor, from a remote area in the north. Every month Mashoko braves crocodiles and hippos when crossing the river to visit them. The Doma people were part of the group, a despised tribe. Champs 2017: Day 2

Day Two began again with much jubilation and worship rising up to the heavens! The talks opened with the ‘Young and Old’ as 12 year old Tinashe shared his success in using FfF methods.  Tinashe – an orphan who was taken in by his grandmother – is now taking care of her as he faithfully stewards their little piece of land.  Asked what advice he has to give, he responded that “the money is in the soil” to a roar of applause.  Standing next to Tinashe and his grandmother was 73 year old Maggi Chirodza, or ‘Gogo’ (grandmother) as she is fondly known by all, including our many international FfF visitors.  Gogo is an incredible example and advocate of God’s …
