Sujit Whitin has been happily married to his wife Sheeba for 23 years and they have three children—two girls and a boy.
Sujit considers it a blessing to serve on the Board of Foundations for Farming. With his father, he runs a crane company that has been in business for 28 years. They consider themselves stewards of God’s wealth.
Sujit was born into a Christian family and he accepted Christ into his life when he was 14 in Nairobi, Kenya. His grandmother, mother, and brother guided his early Christian life. His dad has guided his daily life.
Sujit feels blessed in explaining the generous nature of God as seen in the Bible and the joy that comes from being generous and obedient.
Craig was born in Zimbabwe and, together with his wife Bridgie, farmed commercially for 30 years. They primarily exported citrus, mangoes, and passion fruit around the world. The farm grew in success and profitability until Craig and his family were removed forcibly from the farm without compensation as a part of the Zimbabwe government’s land redistribution.
The Lord took Craig and Bridgie on a remarkable road of forgiveness. In 2006 this road culminated in Craig being led by the Lord to use his farming talents to serve at Foundations for Farming.
William was born into a broken family in a poor rural Zimbabwe village and was only afforded very limited education He abhorred agriculture because he associated it with the poverty he grew up in!
In his early 20’s he moved to the city and found work as a gardener. for couple who were Elders at The Base church. At church, he met Craig (serving at Farming Gods Way, now Foundations for Farming.) who invited William to journey with him to be mentored and become a Grass Roots Champion Trainer. This was his preparation to be an agent of change, teaching into the poorest communities but has also had the privilege of sharing the vision to many Southern and East African nations as well at the USA over the years.
As William himself says “It has been a joy to see joy rise, hope restored, and lives won for Christ through the faithful stewardship of land, family and finances.”
